It was called the "Peace Light"- a burning flame that was taken from a special site in Bethlehem and brought through great lengths to North America. The light traveled- uninterrupted and ever burning- across the country, making stops and drawing crowds who were in awe of its history. It was cared for on the road by a lonely man who made sure the flame burned endlessly. The Peace Light had burned continuously from Bethlehem to its stop at The Office, where within a day of its arrival it had been dropped and extinguished by, of course, Maurice.
